Scott Beach is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC-II) in Ohio. He works directly with people managing mental health and substance use conditions, including many who rely on psychiatric service dogs and emotional support animals, and who run into the same housing, travel and public-access questions this site answers.

What that does and does not cover

A counselling licence is genuine expertise in the areas where a service animal meets mental health: psychiatric service dogs, emotional support animals, what a clinician can and cannot write, and how those conversations actually go. Those articles are written from direct professional experience.

Where an article states a legal rule, it names the law it comes from so you can check it yourself rather than take anyone's word for it.
